
Vikarabad, July 18 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced that the state government has allocated ₹900 crore for road improvement projects in Vikarabad district.
On Saturday, the Minister, accompanied by IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Legislative Council Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy, MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Tandur MLAs B. Manohar Reddy and Kale Yadaiah, and District Collector Deepak Tiwari, officially inaugurated road construction and upgrade initiatives valued at ₹290 crore in the Tandur Assembly constituency.
During a public gathering at JPR Garden in Kandanelli, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy highlighted the government’s commitment to investing record amounts in the state’s road infrastructure. He specifically mentioned that ₹290 crore has been earmarked for road works in the Tandur constituency as part of this broader plan.
He emphasised that enhanced road networks are crucial for fostering industrial expansion, stimulating commercial activities, and generating employment. The Minister confirmed that the approved projects would commence without delay.
Furthermore, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy outlined the government’s progress over the last 30 months, detailing various development programs implemented as part of its governance agenda. He noted that ration cards are being distributed to all eligible impoverished families across the state, with quality rice provided through the Public Distribution System. Additionally, LPG cylinders are being made available at a subsidized rate of ₹500. To support women’s economic advancement, he stated that the government is offering interest-free loans of up to ₹10 lakh to women’s self-help groups.
He also reported that under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, farmers have received financial aid in their bank accounts within a nine-day period. The government is also focusing on strengthening public education in rural areas by establishing Young India Schools. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy assured the public that the ₹94 crore Railway Over Bridge project would begin within 18 weeks of the resolution of a pending court case.
Speaking at the event, IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu remarked that the government is diligently pursuing development strategies while simultaneously bolstering the state’s economy. He pointed out that foundation stones were laid for significant road projects totaling ₹261 crore, underscoring the vital role of improved transportation infrastructure in overall progress.
Patnam Mahender Reddy, the Legislative Council Chief Whip, commended the government for its implementation of numerous welfare initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the less fortunate. He praised the substantial funding designated for road development in Vikarabad and Rangareddy districts, recognizing the significant positive impact of better roads on transportation. He also appealed to the government to allocate resources for road development along the Karnataka border.
