New Delhi, July 21 (RAHNUMA): Peddapalli Congress MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna on Tuesday visited Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital to meet those injured during the Monday’s Jantar Mantar protest and condemned the police action.
After interacting with the victims and doctors, Vamsi Krishna alleged that the use of lathi charge and tear gas against peaceful protesters, including women and children, was unjustified. “In a democracy, every citizen has the right to protest. The police should not suppress these democratic rights”, he said.
The MP assured the injured of all possible assistance and wished them a speedy recovery. His visit comes amid opposition criticism over the police action during the protest over the alleged NEET paper leak and other issues.
