
Hyderabad, July 22 (RAHNUMA): Former minister and BRS leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had always carried forward the vision of Dasarathi Krishnamacharyulu, renowned poet and writer, and dedicated himself to achieving Telangana in line with the poet’s ideals.
Floral tributes were paid to Dasarathi at Telangana Bhavan on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
Addressing the gathering, Talasani described Dasarathi as the poet who awakened the spirit of Telangana through his immortal words, “Naa Telangana Koti Ratnala Veena”. He said that Dasarathi’s writings vividly portray the hardships endured by farmers in the Telangana region due to lack of irrigation and electricity during those days. People of Telangana suffered for nearly six decades after Independence and Dasarathi used his pen to express the aspirations of the people for freedom and self-respect, he observed.
Highlighting KCR’s leadership, Talasani said the former Chief Minister transformed the hard-earned state of Telangana into one of the country’s leading states.
Former MPs Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and Maloth Kavitha, Former Corporation chairman Devi Prasad and former BC commission member Kishore Goud were present at the programme.
