
Hyderabad, July 22 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Labour, Employment, Training & Factories and Mines, Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy, said the State government is giving top priority to strengthening civic infrastructure in the Ameenpur area of Sangareddy district.
The Minister laid the foundation stone for development works worth ₹16.53 crore to be undertaken in the municipality on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said the government is committed to providing all essential infrastructure required for the rapidly growing urban area in a phased manner. He said the proposed works, including CC roads, underground drainage (UGD), storm water drains, development of the crematorium, and construction of central medians, would significantly improve the quality of life for residents.
Vivek Venkatswamy said the government has prepared a comprehensive development plan to transform Ameenpur into one of the model urban local bodies in the State. He assured that if officials submit proposals for priority development works based on public needs, the government would sanction additional funds to ensure their timely execution.
The Minister said the State government is implementing both infrastructure development and welfare programmes with equal emphasis in urban areas. He added that every eligible family would benefit from schemes such as new ration cards, free electricity up to 200 units, distribution of fine rice, and construction of Indiramma LIG houses.
Reviewing preparedness in view of the possible impact of El Niño, the Minister directed officials to take proactive measures to ensure there is no shortage of drinking water. He instructed them to prepare a comprehensive action plan for the coming year and assured that additional funds would be released, if required, to meet future needs. The programme was attended by TGIIC Chairman Nirmala Jagga Reddy, MLC Anji Reddy, public representatives, and senior officials.
