Telangana prepares proposals for 4 industrial parks under BHAVYA scheme

Hyderabad, July 29 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana government is preparing proposals to submit to the Union government for setting up four new industrial parks under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA) scheme, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju said.

Reviewing the progress of the proposed industrial parks at a meeting with senior officials at the Secretariat on Wednesday, the Chief Secretary said the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the four parks under the first phase of the BHAVYA scheme would be submitted to the Centre by the end of this month.

He said each industrial park would span more than 500 acres and that land acquisition and other preparatory works had already been completed. The proposed locations are Thimmapur in Kandukur mandal, Eliminedu in Ibrahimpatnam, Madaram in Ghatkesar mandal, and Dandu Mylaram in Choutuppal mandal.

The Chief  Secretary said several leading companies have already expressed interest in setting up industries in sectors such as electronics and software in these parks. He added that the State government is also preparing proposals for the development of industrial parks at another 16 locations.

Chief Secretary Ahmed Nadeem, Special Chief Secretary (Industries and Commerce) Krishna Aditya, Director of Handlooms and Textiles and Industries Nikhil Chakravarthy, Sikta Patnaik, and other senior officials attended the review meeting.
