Sangareddy, Aug.10 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to visit Sangareddy on August 15 to distribute new smart ration cards as part of the State government’s welfare initiative.
TPCC working president T. Jayaprakash Reddy (Jagga Reddy), District Collector Prateek Jain and SP Paritosh Pankaj on Monday inspected the helipad at Tara Degree College and the public meeting venue at Ambedkar Stadium ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit.
Jagga Reddy alleged that the previous BRS government had failed to issue adequate ration cards during its decade in power. On the other hand, the present Congress government would provide smart ration cards covering 1.05 crore beneficiaries, he claimed.
He further said arrangements were being made for a public meeting expected to draw about 50,000 people. Though the programme is an official government event, the Congress party would accord a grand welcome to the Chief Minister, he added.
