Hyderabad, Aug.19 (RAHNUMA): The G. P. Birla Archaeological, Astronomical & Scientific Research Institute (GPBAASRI), in association with the ISG Hyderabad Chapter, will celebrate National Space Day 2026 on August 22 at the GPBC Hall, G.P. Birla Centre, Hyderabad.
The programme will highlight India’s remarkable achievements in lunar exploration and space science. The celebrations will feature a poster presentation competition and exhibition, followed by a keynote address by Dr. S.V.S. Narayana Murty, Chairman and Managing Director of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI).
Dr. Murty will speak on “India in Space: A vision for Viksit Bharat 2047”. A distinguished metallurgical engineer and aerospace materials specialist, he has contributed extensively to India’s aerospace and space programmes during his career with ISRO and MIDHANI.
GPBAASRI has invited students, researchers, space enthusiasts and members of the public to participate in the National Space Day celebrations.
