Hyderabad, Aug.21 (RAHNUMA):Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed deep sorrow upon learning of the passing of popular film actress and Padma Shri awardee Sowcar Janaki.
The Chief Minister remembered that the veteran actress Sowcar Janaki began her career by casting various roles in the plays during her childhood and left an indelible mark on the film industry over a span of nearly 70 years.
In a statement on Friday, Revanth Reddy also recalled the departed film actress established herself as ‘Sowcar Janaki’ through her exceptional performance in the film Sowcar and captivated audiences by acting in nearly 400 films across Telugu, Tamil Kannada, Malayalam and also in Hindi films.
The Chief Minister praised Janaki as a versatile actress in numerous acclaimed films which remain etched in the hearts of the audience forever.
He stated that Janaki’s absence creates an irreparable void in the film industry, praying that her eternal soul to rest in peace.
The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences and deepest sympathies to the bereaved family members and fans.
