Hyderabad, Sept.6 (RAHNUMA): NITI Aayog Member Dr. V.K. Saraswat called on IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu at the Secretariat here on Sunday.
During the meeting, they discussed the Telangana Silicon Photonics Mission and a phased strategic roadmap for its implementation.
The Minister also discussed the future course of action for the Photonics Valley Corporation and ways to align the Telangana Silicon Photonics Mission with the India Semiconductor Mission–2.0.
Officials said the discussions focused on developing a comprehensive Silicon Photonics ecosystem in Telangana, covering the entire value chain from research and development to commercial-scale manufacturing.
The Minister and Dr. Saraswat also discussed advanced technologies, including photonics packaging and co-packaged optics, as part of efforts to strengthen Telangana’s position in the emerging photonics and semiconductor sectors.
