TRAFFIC POLICE GEAR UP FOR SAFE, SMOOTH GANESH IMMERSION PROCESSIONS

Hyderabad, Sept.10 (RAHNUMA): The Hyderabad Traffic Police have stepped up preparations for the upcoming Ganesh Festival and immersion processions, focusing on traffic management, public safety and crowd control across the city.

Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad, Joel Davis reviewed the arrangements with Traffic Inspectors and senior officers and directed them to complete all preparatory works on priority.

Officials were asked to inspect idol procession routes, check flyover and underpass clearances, prepare traffic diversion plans and regulate idol sales points and Ganesh pandals. Special arrangements are also being made for devotees visiting the Khairatabad Ganesh.

The preparations include deployment of adequate manpower, barricading, signage, temporary toilets, parking facilities and public address systems. Officers were also directed to complete road repairs and pothole filling and use drones to monitor key procession routes.

Arrangements for bandobust personnel and VIP movements were reviewed. The Joint CP instructed officials to coordinate closely with the GHMC, other departments and festival organisers for timely completion of the works.

The Traffic Police appealed to citizens, organisers and stakeholders to cooperate with the authorities, follow traffic regulations and help ensure a safe, peaceful and hassle-free Ganesh Festival and immersion procession.
