Hyderabad, Sept.12 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday assured Ganesh mandap organisers of full government support, announcing free electricity for pandals across Telangana—a facility he highlighted as unique to the state.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Assembly Committee Hall regarding arrangements for Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations and idol immersion, the Chief Minister urged organisers to formally apply with local authorities to avail of the free power supply.
To ensure seamless security, Revanth Reddy requested mandap organisers to share details of invited VIP guests and prospective pandal locations with their local police commissionerates. Advance information, he noted, would allow law enforcement to plan traffic management and security protocols effectively, mitigating risks during unforeseen incidents.
The Chief Minister also directed municipal and urban development authorities to permanently integrate idol immersion infrastructure into ongoing lake development projects, similar to provisions made for Bathukamma festivities. He instructed that structural requirements—such as reinforced crane bays around lake perimeters—be incorporated directly into initial construction designs.
Highlighting administrative coordination, Revanth Reddy ordered the Municipal and Police departments to maintain round-the-clock monitoring throughout the festival. A dedicated control room will operate out of the Command Control Centre, overseen by designated special officers.
Emphasising the broader economic context, the Chief Minister stressed that maintaining law and order remains vital to sustaining Hyderabad’s growth. “Investments will flow into Hyderabad only when the city remains peaceful,” Revanth Reddy said, seeking full cooperation from festival committees to maintain harmony.
