Hyderabad, Sept.12 (NSS): Government Whip Aadi Srinivas has criticised BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, accusing him of attempting to provoke regional sentiments by making controversial remarks about Andhra settlers in Telangana.
In a release here on Thursday, the Government Whip said, “Kaushik Reddy has made derogatory statements, suggesting that Andhra settlers came here just to survive. This is an insult to those who have chosen Telangana as their home.”
He further added, “While the BRS party seeks votes, seats, and even financial support from the people of Andhra, they conveniently disrespect them when it suits their political agenda. It was these very settlers who protected the dignity of BRS during the Assembly elections in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.”
Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas continued his criticism, saying, “Once their needs are fulfilled, the BRS turns around and degrades the settlers, claiming they only came to Hyderabad for survival. The true face of the BRS has been revealed.”
The Congress MLA questioned, “Is former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao endorsing the comments made by Kaushik Reddy against the Andhra settlers? Are BRS MLAs from Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts in support of these remarks?”
Demanding an immediate action against the BRS MLA, Aadi Srinivas said,”If Kaushik Reddy’s comments are not backed by the BRS, then he should be expelled from the party without delay,”.
