Hyderabad, July 29 (RAHNUMA): The All India Students’ Federation (AISF) on Wednesday urged the Telangana government to clear nearly four years of pending fee reimbursement and scholarship arrears before making fresh announcements on annual reimbursements.
AISF State President Kasireddy Manikanta Reddy and State Secretary Putta Lakshman welcomed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s assurance of annual fee reimbursement but alleged that the government had failed to release arrears amounting to nearly Rs.10,000 crore. They said lakhs of students had been forced to pay fees from their own pockets to obtain certificates, affecting their higher education and employment opportunities.
The student leaders demanded that the government immediately release all pending fee reimbursement and scholarship dues in a single installment and ensure timely annual payments without disrupting students’ education.
