Hyderabad, June 6 (RAHNUMA): Activists of the All India Students Federation (AISF) staged a protest at Y-Junction in Hyderabad on Saturday, demanding the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET-2026 paper leak.
Leading the protest, AISF National General Secretary Dinesh C. Rangaraj and National Vice-President N.A. Stalin accused the Union Government of failing to conduct a secure and transparent examination. They alleged that corruption, administrative negligence and the influence of coaching mafias had undermined the credibility of the national-level entrance test.
The student leaders noted that nearly 22.79 lakh candidates had appeared for NEET-2026 and argued that the exposure of the alleged paper leak and examination irregularities had cast serious doubts over the integrity of the process. Cancellation of the examination had caused mental stress to students and financial hardship to families who had spent heavily on coaching, hostel accommodation and travel, they added and alleged that inadequate action following the 2024 NEET paper leak had allowed similar problems to recur.
The protesters demanded accountability from the Union Government and called for stringent measures to prevent future examination leaks. They warned that students across the country would intensify their agitation if corrective steps were not taken.
Several AISF leaders, including former National President Dr. Syed Vali Ullah Khadri, State President Kasireddy Manikanta Reddy and State Secretary Putta Lakshman, participated in the protest.
