Hyderabad, June 1 (NSS): Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer on Saturday extended greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day.
“I extend my warm greetings and hearty felicitations to the people of Telangana on the occasion of ‘Telangana Formation Day’ celebrated on 2nd June every year, as Telangana became India’s twenty-ninth State on June 2, 2014,” he said.
In a press release, the Governor stated that Telangana State is a blessed land, thriving with vibrant arts and crafts with unique synthesis of various cultures, which is clearly visible in the development of arts and crafts tradition.
“One can clearly witness the composite, pluralistic and inclusive culture and traditions. Bathukamma, a colourful and vibrant floral festival of Telangana, celebrated by women, is the pride of Telangana’s cultural identity and celebrating the inherent relationship between earth, water and man,” the Governor said.
He further stated that occasions like State Formation Day, different States and Union Territories forge a strong relationship and bonding among people of the country and promote mutual understanding, spirit of fraternity, and universal brotherhood.” (NSS)
