BC organisations to hold protest programs

Hyderabad, Aug.3 (NSS): BC organisations today  called for a fast demanding a comprehensive caste census and increase in BC reservation in local bodies. BC  and OBC student leaders are preparing to hold a protest in Delhi on the 7th 8th and On the 10th of this month.

They announced that the BCs would  stage a satyagraha at the  Indira Park Dharna Chowk. They said that 42 per cent BC reservation should be provided in local bodies and added that the Kamareddy Declaration given by the Congress party  in the elections should be implemented immediately. They  demanded that the implementation of the promise of caste enumeration and BC reservation he done immediately . “From Gully to Delhi, the Congress raised the issue of BC caste enumeration. Without asking anyone.. Rahul Gandhi, Revanth Reddy and Bhatti Vikramarka have made promises on BC reservation. They won the elections, came to power and have now forgotten the promise,” they  said.

Former minister Srinivas Goud demanded that a committee should be set up on the OBC reservation by the  7th of this month. “If the government does not respond, we will launch the movement. In every election, parties are making promises for votes to come to power. Injustice will be done to the communities with a population of 80 crore in the country. From Telangana, the movement of BCs started from the rural level. In the presence of congress lewder Rahul Gandhi, the Congress had promised to provide reservation to OBCs within a few months of its victory. The Congress has said that it will allocate a separate budget for BCs. He questioned that even after eight months, there was no word of caste enumeration yet. We are on a satyagraha to demand the implementation of caste enumeration and reservation,” he said .

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is an OBC, We have to think about OBCs,” Srinivas Goud said. He asks that Ministers should be made for BCs at the Centre and added that A separate budget should be allocated.

He said that  the  constitution should be amended to provide reservation to the states on the basis of population and added that All associations, leaders of all parties should come forward with a consensus. “They think of our silence, patience and incompetence. Those who are trying to suppress the BCs will be taught a lesson ,” he said.
