New Delhi, July 3 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin will embark on a two-day organisational tour of Jammu & Kashmir on July 6 and 7, aimed at strengthening the party’s outreach and consolidating its presence across the Union Territory.
On July 6, Nabin will be in Jammu, where he will attend a commemorative programme at the Grand Palace to mark the birth anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.
The event, expected to draw senior leaders and grassroots workers, will pay tribute to Mookerjee’s legacy and his role in shaping the ideological foundation of the party.
During his stay in Jammu, the BJP President will chair a meeting of the party’s core committee to review organisational matters and deliberate on the party’s strategy in the region.
He will also interact with party workers to assess ongoing activities and strengthen coordination between different organisational units.
On July 7, Nabin will travel to Kashmir, where he is scheduled to hold meetings with BJP legislators and Members of Parliament. These discussions will focus on organisational issues and the party’s future programmes in the Valley.
His engagements are expected to underline the BJP’s emphasis on expanding its political footprint and addressing regional concerns.
A key highlight of his Kashmir itinerary will be a “Youth Dialogue,” where Nabin will interact with young participants on issues of employment, political participation, and the party’s vision for youth engagement.
The dialogue is seen as part of the BJP’s broader effort to connect with younger demographics and encourage their involvement in political processes.
The two-day visit underscores the BJP’s intent to deepen its organisational roots in J&K while fostering greater coordination among leaders and workers.
By combining commemorative events, strategic meetings, and youth outreach, Nabin’s tour is expected to reinforce the party’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Union Territory.
