BRS leader Rakesh Reddy lashes out at CM Revanth

Warangal, June 29 (NSS): BRS party leader Enugula  Rakesh Reddy today questioned as to why there were police raids and detentions in public administration of the Congress government. He also questioned as to why the restrictions were placed on the Opposition leaders while calling it ‘people’s government’.

During Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s visit to Warangal, Rakesh Reddy was placed under house arrest. As many as 40 prominent activists, including Rakesh Reddy, were detained by the police. Rakesh Reddy expressed his displeasure over the government’s attitude. “Is there so much insecurity in six months of governance? Is it such anarchy,” Rakesh Reddy said. He also said they were not new to fighting. “We are only appealing for constructive suggestions from the point of view of the people. Half the cabinet, MPs and MLAs, including the Chief Minister, are rushing to open a private hospital. However, the atmosphere that the CM is coming to Warangal is nowhere to be seen,” he claimed.

Rakesh Reddy said the changes in the CM’s tour came only after his press meet at Telangana Bhavan and added that Revanth did not  know how to travel in his capacity as the CM till the Opposition leaders question him. He demanded that the Chief Minister give clarity on the removal of the Kakatiya art gallery from the official emblem of the State.

Reddy said the comments that Kakatiya kala thoranam was a royal mirror had hurt the people of Warangal District a lot . “Therefore, CM Revanth Reddy should take back those words and tender an unconditional public apology to the people of Oragallu. Before crossing Warangal, there should be clarity on the removal of the Kakatiya emblem. Otherwise, the people’s representatives and leaders of the combined district Congress should put up a tent in front of Revanth Reddy’s house and stage a dharna. The people will sit in front of your camp offices. Even if you hit us on the stomach, we will endure. But if you try to hurt our self-respect, we will not spare,” he added. (NSS)
