Hyderabad, Aug.3 (NSS): Former minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy today alleged that the voice of the BRS party was suppressed in the assembly. He also alleged that the entire Zero Hour and question hour had been cancelled in the House.
Speaking to media persons at the assembly’s media point on Saturday, he said there was no opportunity for them to hold discussions in the House and added that they were not allowed to speak on people’s issues. He alleged that they were taken away from the House with the help of marshals when they asked about the injustices of the State government.
Vemula Prashanth Reddy alleged that the assembly was used to abuse former CM KCR and the BRS party. “Within seven months, CM Revanth Reddy’s ugly form was exposed. Revanth Reddy’s rule is not a people’s rule. It’s a dictatorial regime,” he alleged. He recalled that MIM party floor leader Akbaruddin had also said the House had never been so bad. “The AIMIM, which claims to be an ally of the Congress, has also blamed the Congress for its attitude. Revanth acted like a king of draconian rule and not as leader of the House,” he alleged. He also criticized the CM for misleading the House. He said he was not allowed to speak fully on any discussion. He alleged that the House was run by allegations against the previous government.
Vemula criticized that the Assembly was run like a Kaurava Sabha. “We have spoken with the aim of implementing the promises. There is no mention of six guarantees and 420 guarantees in the State budget. Even after eight months of coming to power, the Congress party has not fulfilled its promises of implementing them within 100 days. Women MLAs have been insulted by making the assembly as a witness. The Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister have lied in the assembly,” he alleged .
Referring to the statement of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that his government had filled up 30,000 jobs, he wondered whether the jobs be filled anywhere without issuing a notification. He also alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had misled the House on fixing electric meters on agriculture motors and demanded that Revanth Reddy should be given a Guinness Book of World Records for his lies.
