Beijing, March 18 (QNA) – China and the United States are in “close communication” on arranging a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told visiting U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Xinhua news agency reported on Saturday. “We attach great importance to your visit,” Wang said here.
Tillerson arrived in China earlier on the day for the final leg of his first East Asia tour since assuming office last month, which also included Japan and South Korea
The US top diplomat said he was delighted to be in Beijing with the opportunity to continue discussions with the Chinese side. (QNA)
