Hyderabad, Sept.4 (NSS): BRS party leader RS Praveen Kumar today alleged that CM Revanth Reddy’s government was conspiring to destroy gurukuls in Telangana.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, he said it was the SCs who were becoming the victims of the State government’s conspiracy. He claimed that the State government had removed 2,000 teachers in the SC gurukuls overnight and added that those who were appointed in accordance with the constitutional and legal provisions were removed by the government.
“Revanth Reddy has hurt the families of 2000 people. The future of two lakh students has become uncertain. In the past, engineers and doctors were produced from the Centres of Excellence but now the students will be forced to rear cattle again. The teachers of Goulidoddi Gurukul, which has produced 1,000 doctors, are planning to go on strike now. Sports academies set up for underprivileged children have been shut down,” he alleged.
He claimed that when the government failed to give Rs 2 lakh to handball player Tirupati, he and BRS party working president promised to help him. “Army officers were forced to leave Rukmapur Gurukul Sainik School and Bhuvanagiri army college. The staff of music and vocational colleges have been removed. Why is Revanth Reddy so angry with the poor students? All sections of the society should wake up and save the gurukuls from the conspiracy of the Revanth Reddy government,” he said. BRS leader RS Praveen demanded that those sacked should be reinstated immediately.
