CM scared of speaking in assembly: BJLP leader Eleti  Maheshwara Reddy

Hyderabad, July 23 (NSS): BJLP leader Eleti Maheshwara Reddy has lashed out at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and asked the CM as to why the CM was shying away from speaking in the Telangana Assembly? “Why are you afraid to listen to the voice of the Opposition parties,” he asked.

Speaking at the assembly’s media point on Tuesday, he alleged that the assembly was being run for four days to escape the attack of the Opposition parties and added that discussions on the demands were scheduled to be held only for three days in the assembly. “Don’t you know that if you want an appropriation bill before July 31, you have to put the budget session in advance? It is undemocratic to hold a budget session for three to four days. We have brought 18 points to the State government’s notice during the BAC meeting. Only one or two of them are likely to come up for the discussion,” he said. He demanded that the budget session should be held for 18 days and added there should be a discussion on one issue a day like agriculture, irrigation, irrigation water, job vacancies and issues in the education sector.

He accused the Congress government of running on the foundations of corruption. Meanwhile, it has been decided in the BAC that the Telangana Assembly session will be held till 31st of this month. The budget will be presented on July 25. The House will pass the Appropriation Bill on July 31.
