Hyderabad, June 3 (RAHNUMA): As part of the “One ward every day” initiative, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G. Srijana on Wednesday conducted an extensive field visit to Pudur-Kistapur Ward under Medchal Circle of Quthbullapur Zone to assess civic infrastructure and directly engage with residents on local issues and development requirements.
During the visit, the Commissioner interacted with residents, community leaders, and local stakeholders to understand ground-level concerns and review the status of civic amenities. The inspection was attended by Deputy Commissioners and officials from various departments.
During the inspection, the people brought several issues to the notice of the Commissioner, particularly relating to roads, drinking water supply, sewerage infrastructure, lake protection, and public amenities.
Residents emphasised the need for improved connectivity, enhanced water infrastructure, environmental conservation measures, and better civic services to support the growing population of the area.
Among the key issues raised were the construction of internal CC roads in Pudur village and the widening and improvement of R&B roads to facilitate smoother traffic movement and improve connectivity.
Residents also sought uninterrupted drinking water supply, construction of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) at identified locations to prevent pollution of nearby water bodies, and the establishment of an additional Overhead Water Tank (OHT) to meet the increasing water demand in the area.
Concerns were also expressed regarding the protection and development of local water bodies. Citizens requested strengthening and development of bunds at Erram Cheruvu and Mothulakunta Cheruvu to safeguard water resources, improve environmental sustainability, and prevent encroachments and degradation.
In addition, residents highlighted the need for installation of additional streetlights in underserved areas to improve public safety, visibility, and convenience for commuters and local communities.
The Commissioner directed officials to conduct detailed assessments of all issues raised, coordinate with the concerned departments, and prepare appropriate action plans. Officials were instructed to prioritize critical works and take up developmental activities in a phased and time-bound manner.
Reaffirming the Corporation’s commitment to citizen-centric governance, the Commissioner stated that the one ward every day initiative is aimed at strengthening direct public engagement, identifying local priorities through field inspections, and ensuring coordinated action for the systematic development of every ward across Cyberabad.
Through continuous interaction with citizens and on-ground monitoring, the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation is working towards improving civic infrastructure, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring a better quality of life for residents across all wards, she said.
