Achampet, Aug.24 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy defended Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s frequent visits to New Delhi, stating they are strictly intended to secure Telangana’s rightful share of Central funds and tax devolutions.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for three Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road projects worth ₹146.71 crore in Balmoor, located in the Achampet constituency of Nagarkurnool district on Monday, the Minister highlighted recent progress in securing major infrastructure projects for the state.
“The Chief Minister and I met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to press for key projects under the Roads and Buildings department. Several initiatives worth ₹1 lakh crore are being sanctioned, including the bullet train proposal, the Srisailam elevated corridor, and the Somasila bridge,” he said.
Joined by Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Excise Jupally Krishna Rao, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy noted that the Achampet region holds immense potential and is slated to become a major tourism hub supported by high-speed road network expansion.
“The proposed Srisailam elevated corridor will significantly ease travel for devotees from both Telugu states while ensuring safer transit through the region,” he added.
