CONG APP FLAGS DUPLICATE VOTERS, TACKS SIR PROGRESS

Hyderabad, June 26 (RAHNUMA): Hyderabad DCC president Syed Khalid Saifullah on Friday said the Congress BLA App is helping Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to identify potential duplicate voters and monitor electoral roll verification under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

Speaking at a training programme for BLAs, Saifullah said the app enables booth-level workers to track mapped and unmapped voters, detect anomalies and assist citizens in completing required documentation.

The application provides booth-wise voter data and highlights possible duplicate entries based on similarities in names, family details, house numbers and other identifiers. Suspected cases are referred to Election Commission authorities for verification.

Saifullah said Congress volunteers had already digitised and analysed electoral data across Hyderabad district, allowing BLAs to monitor voter-list corrections and enrolment activities more effectively. The app also tracks the status of voter forms, helping the party assess the progress of the SIR exercise and identify areas requiring greater outreach, he added.

Emphasising the need for continuous monitoring, Saifullah said duplicate entries must be detected and removed while ensuring that genuine voters are not inconvenienced.

He urged party workers to devote the next one month to voter-list verification and use the technology-driven platform responsibly to support citizens during the revision process.
