CONGRESS MLA BLASTS BRS OVER FLOOD POLITICS

Hyderabad, Sept.5 (NSS): Government Whip Aadi Srinivas sharply criticised the BRS party, accusing it of playing “mud-slinging politics” over the recent floods.

“BRS leaders are criticising the State government as their primary focus. Even in the face of flood hardships, the Kalvakuntla family is more concerned with politics,” he said.

Speaking at a press conference at the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) office here on Thursday, Adi Srinivas questioned the role of opposition leaders during times of crisis, asking, “When an unforeseen disaster strikes, should you be engaging in criticism instead of supporting the government? Instead of offering constructive advice on relief efforts, they are speaking recklessly.”

Adi Srinivas, who represents Vemulawada Assembly constituency, further pointed out that former minister KTR is “enjoying himself in America while spreading venom on Twitter,” and took a jab at BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), saying, “To this day, no one knows KCR’s whereabouts. Where is KCR? What is he doing? Is he hiding in his farmhouse or at Nandi Nagar?”

He went on to criticise KCR for not even expressing condolences to the families affected by the floods.

“As an opposition leader, it is his responsibility to give suggestions to the government, but he’s failing to do even that,” Srinivas said, accusing KCR of sending Harish Rao to instigate public unrest.
