CR FOUNDATION PLANS MODEL OLD AGE HOME IN AP CAPITAL

Hyderabad, July 17 (RAHNUMA): The Chandra Rajeswara Rao (CR) Foundation, which runs a nationally acclaimed Old Age Home at Kondapur in Hyderabad, is set to expand its elderly care services to Andhra Pradesh’s capital region.

Spread across five acres in a serene environment, the CR Foundation Old Age Home is regarded as one of the country’s finest institutions dedicated to the care and dignity of senior citizens. The facility was established in fulfillment of the late Chandra Rajeswara Rao’s vision of serving the elderly.

The project received support from former Chief Ministers Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy and N.T. Rama Rao, while the then Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu resolved administrative and technical hurdles, paving the way for the institution’s establishment.

Following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the Foundation felt the need for a similar institution in the new state capital. CR Foundation president Dr. K. Narayana said a delegation recently met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and requested allocation of land for setting up a model old age home in the capital region.

According to Narayana, the Chief Minister responded positively and directed Municipal Administration Minister Narayana to examine the proposal and initiate necessary action. The Foundation expressed hope that the new facility would extend Chandra Rajeswara Rao’s legacy of compassionate service to senior citizens in Andhra Pradesh.
