Hyderabad, July 5 (NSS): BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Friday strongly condemned the Congress government’s stance on the issue of job notifications and its attitude towards the unemployment.
Condemning the arrest of unemployed and student union leaders for demanding job notifications, the BRS working president lambasted the attitude of Congress government for the delay in issuing job notifications.
“The student leaders wanted to protest peacefully at the TGPSC office and to convey their demands to the government. But, the State government, instead of listening to the demands of students, took them into the custody and harassed them with the police force,” KTR pointed out.
He criticised that the Congress party, which had organised several protest programmes with its leader Rahul Gandhi with the same unemployed people before the elections, tried to suppress them as soon as it came to power.
“They are using the unemployed just to whip up emotions just before the elections and are not even speaking on the legitimate issues they are demanding today. The Congress government, which repeatedly uses the name of people’s governance, is acting in a dictatorial manner by not even giving an opportunity to the youth and students to protest in the state ,” KT Rama Rao alleged .
The BRS leader demanded that the State government should immediately release the job calendar as the dates of the job calendar announced by the Congress party had expired.
He assured that the BRS party would stand by all the protest programmes being carried out by the unemployed and demanded the State government to release the arrested students unconditionally. (NSS)
