Hyderabad, June 4 (RAHNUMA): A massive fire broke out at a garments store located at near Maitrivanam building, Ameerpet, in Hyderabad on Thursday afternoon. The fire erupted at KSR Fashions, a store located on the second floor of the shopping complex near Metro Pillar Number 1043.
However, no casualties were reported so far in the incident. Upon receiving the information, fire personnel brought the blaze under control using three fire engines and eight water tankers. They also evacuated the occupants of neighboring shops.
A massive traffic jam ensued near the main road in Ameerpet following an incident at a nearby shopping complex. Locals faced difficulties as thick smoke engulfed the area. A loss of life was averted as shop employees rushed out of the premises at the time of the fire accident.
Officials estimate that significant property damage has occurred. Fire department officials state that the intensity of the blaze was exacerbated by the presence of a helmet shop within the shopping complex, which resulted in the burning of plastic materials. They are currently investigating the causes of the accident.
