Hyderabad, June 29 (NSS): Former Adilabad MP Ramesh Rathod passed away today. He was rushed to a private hospital in the district headquarters by his family members after he fell ill at his residence in Utnoor late on Friday night. As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment. He breathed his last on the way to Hyderabad.
Ramesh Rathod had worked as ZP chairman, MLA and MP in his political career. Although he expected an MP ticket from BJP from Adilabad seat, he did not get it. Several politicians from the State expressed their shock at the demise of Ramesh Rathod and conveyed their condolences to his family members.
The news of the death of former MP Ramesh Rathod has left political leaders in a state of shock. Ramesh Rathod started his political career as sarpanch of Tadihatnoor in Narnoor mandal of Adilabad district. In 1999, he was elected as MLA from Khanapur and in 2007 he was the chairman of Adilabad ZP. In 2009, he became an MP.
Union Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy expressed shock over the death of former MP and senior BJP leader Ramesh Rathod.
“The passing away of Ramesh Rathod is shocking and deeply saddening.
He was active in the BJP. In the recent assembly and parliamentary elections too, he worked very enthusiastically for the party. He also played a key role in the combined Adilabad district during the Telangana movement. As a ZP chairman, MLA and MP, he always liked to spend time with the people. The news of Ramesh Rathore’s demise is sad. I am praying for his soul to rest in peace. My deepest condolences to the family members,” he said.
