Hyderabad, May 28 (RAHNUMA): Minister for IT, Industries, and Legislative Affairs Duddilla Sridhar Babu stated that the State government is moving forward with a clear vision to develop the prestigious Future City project into a world-class global city in the future and every decision and every activity undertaken here is being aligned with global standards.
Sridhar Babu, along with Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, on Thursday visited the under-construction office building of the Future City Development Authority (FCDA) under the prestigious “Future City” project and reviewed the ongoing works.
Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Babu said that a decision would soon be taken regarding the inauguration of the Future City Development Authority office by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on June 2 or 3. He stated that the visit was conducted to inspect the progress of works ahead of the inauguration.
The Minister said that strong foundations are currently being laid for modern infrastructure and developments in the coming days, and assured that the government would complete the Future City project rapidly during its tenure and fulfill the promises made to the people.
Sridhar Babu further stated that the government’s objective is to make Future City a globally influential urban center.
“Plans are already underway to establish a Police Commissionerate and operate government offices with a global presence from this location,” he said.
The Minister also emphasised the importance being given to youth skill development and mentioned that the Young India Skills University has been established through special legislation.
Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government is firmly committed to the construction of Future City as a highly prestigious project.
Since assuming office, the government has been overcoming challenges and resolving issues with a positive approach, he said.
The Minister said that Future City is taking shape as a landmark project not only for Telangana but for the entire country. “The primary objective of the project is to provide employment opportunities and job security to lakhs of unemployed youth. The government is implementing innovative programmes for the development of the state in ways that many countries and states around the world have not even envisioned,” he said.
The Minister also stated that while the university is currently functioning from a temporary campus, construction of the permanent campus is progressing rapidly. The government would review the progress and take necessary decisions to further accelerate the construction works, he said.
Later, the Ministers inspected the construction works of the “Young India Skills University.
FCDA Commissioner K. Shashank, Maheshwaram DCP K. Narayana Reddy and related officials, and elected representatives were also present.
