Hyderabad, June 17 (RAHNUMA): GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer R.V. Karnan, along with District Collector Dr. Priyanka Ala and Additional Commissioner (Election) K. Chandrakala, held a meeting with representatives of all recognised political parties on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
During the meeting, the Commissioner provided detailed information on the SIR process and emphasised the importance of ensuring a transparent, inclusive, and error-free electoral roll. It was informed that enumeration forms would be distributed to all eligible voters in English to facilitate easy understanding and accurate submission of details.
Officials informed that enumeration forms will be distributed to eligible voters in English and urged political parties to cooperate with the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during the exercise. The DEO stressed that timely submission of forms is crucial, warning that voters who fail to furnish the required details may not find a place in the draft electoral roll.
The Commissioner appealed to political party representatives to extend full cooperation to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and ensure that their duties are not obstructed in any manner during the revision process and requested to furnish duly filled forms within the stipulated time frame.
