Hyderabad, Nov.29 (NSS): The State government has officially withdrawn the notification for land acquisition in Lagacherla and Polepally villages for a pharma village in Vikarabad district.
The State government has backed down on the agitation of the tribals in the Lagacharla land dispute in Vikarabad district. To this extent, orders have been issued canceling the land acquisition. The State government has issued a statement stopping the land acquisition in Lagacharla village of Dudyala mandal for the Pharma village.
A notification has been issued stating that the land acquisition has been withdrawn under Section 93 of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013. The District Collector announced that the land acquisition has been cancelled after public opinion polls in the villages. The Congress government took this decision after strong opposition from the people of the respective villages.
To this effect, the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) has submitted fresh requisition proposals to the Vikarabad district administration for acquiring land towards the establishment of a Multipurpose Industrial Park.
Accordingly, District Collector Prateek Jain on Friday appointed the Sub-Collector, Tandur as Land Acquisition Officer (LAO) for acquiring land to set up the Multipurpose Industrial Park. A fresh notification will be issued towards the establishment of a Multipurpose Industrial Park in these villages.
