Hyderabad, Sept.12 (NSS): Former minister Harish Rao today said he was strongly condemning the subversive, perverse and undemocratic attitude of the ruling Congress party. He alleged that the house of BRS party MLA Kaushik Reddy was attacked at the behest of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He demeaned an apology from the CM for the attack. “This is democracy, what is public rule, what is Indiramma’s kingdom? “It is a heinous act to induct our party MLAs into the Congress party and instigate them to attack the BRS party MLAs,” he said.
He said it was a despicable act that the defected MLA of the BRS party MLA Arikapudi Gandhi attacked MLA Kaushik Reddy’s house with stones, eggs and tomatoes and added that it was clear that the attack was well-planned. Rao said the State government and the police system had miserably failed to stop the Gandhi’s followers from announcing at the press meet that they would go to the house of Kaushik Reddy and attacked it. He said the government should be held responsible for the attack on the people’s representative in a broad daylight. Rao said Gandhi and his followers who attacked Kaushik Reddy’s residence should be arrested immediately. He demanded full security for MLA Kaushik Reddy.
Meanwhile, BRS party working president KT Rama Rao also strongly condemned the attack on MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy’s house. He questioned whether there was an attempt to murder the MLA in a broad daylight. “Where is our state going? It is sad that Telangana is being turned into a place for faction and rowdy politics,” he alleged. He questioned as to how Kaushik Reddy was placed under house arrest and attacked by Arikepudi Gandhi & his goons.
KTR said Kaushik Reddy was targeted because he was fighting legally against the MLAs, who had defected to the ruling party. He alleged that the attack was definitely the handiwork of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and added that the State government should be held responsible for this. He made it clear that there was no threat to them by such attacks. KTR warned there would be more resistance than this from their party leaders in future.
