Hyderabad, July 12 (RAHNUMA): The Hyderabad Traffic Police, in coordination with TGSRTC officials, conducted a special enforcement drive across the city from July 6 against unauthorized passenger transport, overloading, permit violations and illegal parking near RTC bus stations.
During the drive, officials booked 1,860 cases, including 342 illegal parking, 520 bus bay parking violations, 342 no valid driving licence and so on, under various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. The Hyderabad Traffic Police said it has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against such violations, stating that unauthorized transport operations compromise passenger safety, disrupt public transport services and contribute to traffic congestion.
Officials said similar enforcement drives will continue regularly and appealed to vehicle owners and operators to comply with the Motor Vehicles Act and relevant transport rules.
