Hyderabad, July 10 (RAHNUMA): An innovative initiative introduced by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) to provide greater convenience to IT professionals, businesspersons and other passengers travelling between Hyderabad and Bengaluru has received an overwhelming response.
In a statement here on Friday, the TGSRTC stated that the corporation’s decision to increase the number of bus stoppages on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru route, along with offering free intra-city connectivity for Bengaluru-bound passengers, has been widely appreciated.
Passengers, who book TGSRTC bus tickets to Bengaluru, can travel free of cost on the Pushpak AC buses operating on the Shamshabad Airport route from various parts of Hyderabad city.
They can avail themselves of this facility by simply showing their Bengaluru journey ticket.
The new initiative has not only reduced the financial burden on passengers, but also has made their journey more convenient. As a result, the corporation is witnessing an additional 60 to 70 ticket bookings every day.
Considering the growing passenger traffic and demand, TGSRTC has significantly increased the number of bus stoppages between Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
TGSRTC Managing Director Nagi Reddy has also directed officials to operate additional services in line with passenger demand.
“Passenger convenience and safe travel remain TGSRTC’s top priorities, and the corporation continues to introduce innovative measures to enhance its services. We are delighted by the encouraging response to the free Pushpak AC connectivity introduced for Bengaluru-bound passengers. We urge commuters to make full use of this facility,” Nagi Reddy said.
