HAMBURG(RAHNUMA): Jordan’s state grain buyer purchased about 60,000 metric tons of animal feed barley in an international tender on Wednesday, European traders said.
The barley was bought from trading house Olam at an estimated $252 a ton cost and freight (c&f) included to be shipped in the first half of September.
Traders said these other trading houses participated in Wednesday’s tender with their estimated price offers per ton c&f: Bunge $264 and $271, CHS $255.68, Ameropa $259.95, Cofco $257.50 and Solaris $264.14.
Shipment in the tender was sought in a series of possible combinations in consignments of 50,000 to 60,000 tons between September 1-15, September 16-30, October 1-15 and October 16-31.
Reports reflect assessments from traders and further estimates of prices and volumes are still possible later.
