Jordanian and Emirati foreign ministers discuss regional developments in Abu Dhabi

LONDON(RAHNUMA): The foreign ministers of Jordan and the UAE discussed how to coordinate diplomatically and address the escalating regional security threats amid the ongoing US-Israel conflict with Iran since late February.

Ayman Safadi and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan condemned Iranian attacks on their countries and the wider Gulf states during a meeting in Abu Dhabi late on Monday, according to the Petra news agency.

They cautioned that such escalations threaten regional stability, international maritime safety, global energy supplies, and the world economy. The discussions also included the Islamabad summit and the two-week ceasefire declared by the US and Iran on April 8.

The ministers also discussed the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories. They emphasized the need to implement all aspects of US President Donald Trump’s plan for the Gaza Strip, including the flow of humanitarian aid.

They called for an end to the escalation in the occupied West Bank and a halt to illegal Israeli actions that threaten the two-state solution, Petra added.
