Hyderabad, Aug.10 (RAHNUMA): BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy on Monday claimed that the double-bedroom houses being handed over to beneficiaries in Kamalapur mandal were sanctioned and constructed during the tenure of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).
Speaking to the media after inaugurating the houses, Kaushik Reddy criticised Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar Goud for allegedly making politically motivated and factually incorrect remarks during the inauguration. “This is not a platform for playing politics. Present the facts before the people”, he said, urging the Ministers to give credit to KCR for the housing project.
Kaushik Reddy said public representatives had a responsibility to explain facts rather than engage in political criticism at an event meant for handing over houses to beneficiaries.
He also urged the Ministers to address the problems faced by residents of the double-bedroom colonies instead of merely inaugurating the houses and leaving. He flagged issues relating to drainage, electricity and roads, and sought immediate steps to provide basic amenities.
The MLA further pointed out that some houses were still incomplete and urged the government to release the required funds and complete the pending works at the earliest.
