Hyderabad, March 13 (NSS): Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy said that former chief minister K Chandrashekar should be held responsible for the current drought situation prevailed in the Telangana State.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, the Congress leader alleged that KCR’s inefficiency was the main reason for the non-availability of irrigation water for the Kharif season in Telangana and he had brought drought to the State.
Terming the Mission Bhagiratha scheme as a failure project, Jeevan Reddy alleged that KCR had launched the Mission Bhagiratha only aimed at accumulating the wealth in the name of providing drinking water.
“I categorically stated in the Telangana Assembly that the officer, who gave an advice to KCR for the launch of Mission Bhagiratha scheme, should be hanged. It’s a failure project,” Jeevan Reddy said.
He alleged that former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao was worried over the judicial inquiry ordered by the Congress government into irregularities on the purchase of power for the Kaleshwaram and Yadadri power projects.
Finding fault with KCR for stating that the Congress government’s failures will be exposed by sitting in the studios of news channels, Jevan Reddy said it is very ridiculous that KCR wants to go to news channels instead of attending the Assembly sessions.
“In my 40 years of political career, no government has ever fulfilled its promises within 100 days of formation. What BRS could not do in 10 years, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has shown in three months. BJP will also disappear after the Parliament elections,” he added. (NSS)
