Hyderabad, Sept.6 (RAHNUMA): BRS working president KT Rama Rao has been invited to participate in the Bathukamma celebrations in Dubai on October 11, hosted by the Gulf Telangana Forum (GTF) and Emirates Telangana Cultural Association (ETCA).
A GTF delegation headed by its founder and president, Akula Surender, met Rama Rao here on Sunday and presented him with the invitation. They requested that he attend the event alongside Telangana women and expatriate families.
According to the organisers, the annual celebration seeks to preserve Telangana’s cultural traditions within the diaspora and deepen the community’s connection to its roots. Women, young people, children and families from the Telangana community are expected to attend in large numbers.
The organisers said the event will include women dressed in traditional clothing arranging Bathukammas and performing folk songs. The programme is also being planned to introduce younger generations to Telangana’s culture, folk arts and traditions.
