
Adilabad, June 2 (RAHNUMA): Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the State government was pursuing a welfare-driven development model to fulfil the aspirations of the people and honour the sacrifices of Telangana martyrs. “Congress government pursuing a welfare-driven development model to fulfil the aspirations of the people and honour the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for the creation of Telangana”, he noted.
Addressing Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Adilabad on Tuesday, the senior Congress leader said development would be meaningful only when benefits reached farmers, women, students, workers and weaker sections. He highlighted the government’s 99-day “Praja Palana–Pragathi Pranalika” programme aimed at accelerating development and improving governance.
Shabbir Ali outlined achievements in education, healthcare, housing, women’s welfare and employment. He said 16,759 Indiramma houses were sanctioned in the district, over one lakh women benefited from LPG subsidies, and more than 1,000 youth secured jobs through recent mega job fairs.
He also highlighted expansion of healthcare facilities at RIMS Adilabad, welfare measures for SCs, BCs and minorities, and progress in irrigation, drinking water supply and rural development. Praising Adilabad’s water conservation efforts, he noted that the district had earned national recognition.
Calling for collective efforts to build a prosperous and inclusive Telangana, Shabbir Ali extended Telangana Formation Day greetings to the people.
