One held for selling adulterating chilli powder

Hyderabad, Nov.5 (NSS)The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone Team raided a residential premises in Osmangunj, under Afzalgunj PS limits and apprehended accused Rooparam Khatri alias Rupesh, of Rajasthan State, who indulged in illegally making adulterate Chilli  powder with low quality Red chilli, mixing toxic red colours, Oil and packing in fake Swastik brand sachet by violating Copy Right Act and selling as genuine brand to customers in the marker and gain easy profits illegally, thereby causing severe damage to the health of human life.

The police seized material worth Rs  4,00,000/- from accused Rooparam Khatri alias Rupesh, a native of Loharwa (village), Badmer (Dist), Rajasthan State. A few years back, the accused migrated to Hyderabad and resided in the limits of Afzalgunj. Previously he maintained Garments business.

To gain easy money in short period, he setup chilli powder making  flour mill, packing, sealing process machinery at his residence at Risala Abdullah, Osmangunj, Hyderabad. He procured fake Swastik brand packing sachets from local agent and used to purchasing low quality Dry Red Chilli from market in low price and making Chilli powder, by mixing Red colour, Oil & other toxic chemicals to appear Red in Colour and  packing in the fake Swastik packets by violating Copy Right Act, thereby  selling to customers as genuine Chilli Powder and gain easy profits illegally.

On a tip-off, Task Force Central Zone team raided the above premises and apprehended the accused and seized adulterated Chilli powder, Red Chilli, Fake Swatik brand empty sachets, machinery and so on. The accused along with seized material were handed over to SHO, Afzalgunj PS. The apprehension was made under supervision of YVS Sudheendra, Dy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, Hyderabad, by Inspector of Police, Task Force Central Zone, Sub-Inspector and staff of Task Force Central Zone, Hyderabad.
