
Hyderabad/ New Delhi, June 18 (RAHNUMA): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a nationwide employment outreach programme on June 19 to mark the successful implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), with the main event being held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
During the programme, the Prime Minister will transfer incentives worth nearly Rs.2,400 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), a move expected to support additional employment opportunities for over 15 lakh people across the country.
Around 1,200 beneficiaries, employers and distinguished guests will attend the national event, while regional programmes will be conducted simultaneously at 200 locations nationwide. An estimated 65,000 – 70,000 participants, including nearly 9,000 employers and 45,000 employees, are expected to take part.
In Telangana, events will be organised at Hyderabad, Sangareddy, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Hanamkonda, with the participation of Members of Parliament, MLAs, Ministers, senior officials and industry representatives. Prominent attendees include Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, State Labour Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy, IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Endowment minister Konda Surekha, MPs Etala Rajender, Dharmapuri Arvind and Kadiyam Kavya, among others.
The nationwide programme aims to strengthen employment generation, promote workforce formalisation and enhance outreach to beneficiaries under the PM-VBRY scheme. The proceedings from Vigyan Bhawan will be broadcast live at all regional venues.
