Hyderabad, July 11 (NSS): Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar has urged the unemployed youth not to fall in the trap of opposition leaders over government job vacancies.
Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Ponnam Prabhakar along with Congress Campaign Committee Chairman Madhu Yashki Goud and Government Whip Adi Srinivas said that students should not waste their time and should focus on the preparation for the exams.
“I also request the student union leaders to bring any issue to my notice if students are genuinely facing any difficult situation,” Ponnam Prabhakar said.
He further stated that the State government is taking the opinions of intellectuals about the job calendar and said that the job calendar would be released soon.
The Minister also lambasted Union Minister G Kishan Reddy for trying to tarnish the image of Hyderabad and said that the BJP leader was indulging in cheap tactics keeping in mind the upcoming GHMC elections.
“Kishan Reddy should tell how much funds he brought to Hyderabad in five years as Union Minister. What did you do for the development of Hyderabad when the BJP was in power at the Center for ten years? Did he say whether he had brought any special funds. What was his contribution for the development of Telangana as the Union Minister,” Ponnam questioned.
He said that the State government is committed to develop Hyderabad in all sectors and exuded confidence that the State capital would emerge as an international city in the days to come under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.(NSS)
