Hyderabad, May 10 (RAHNUMA): The 75th birth anniversary of the founding president of the Mala Mahanadu Pothula Vigneshwar Rao (P.V. Rao) was celebrated with great grandeur at Hyderguda based NSS in the city on Sunday . The National President of the Mala Mahanadu Dr. Pabbati Srikrishna participated in this event as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that P.V. Rao was a revered figure for all the oppressed castes—a man of the stature of an IAS officer who dedicated his entire life to fighting tirelessly not only for the Mala community but also for the unity and political empowerment of SCs, STs, Adivasis, the poor and the BCs. He said that A pledge was taken to uphold and continue his ideals for following the path he laid out. He described P.V. Rao as a true heir to BR Ambedkar. He said that being an honest intellectual, P.V. Rao—who once served as the editor of the Andhra Pradesh government’s official publication—had frequently engaged in discussions with MRPS leader Manda Krishna and BC leader R. Krishnaiah, advocating for the realization of political power by uniting all the castes under the banner of Ambedkar’s ideology.
Dr. Pabbati lashed out by stating that if the Mala community and its representatives do not raise their voices in their own defense even now—recognizing that the Malas possess the power to completely bury the Congress party—they would face grave injustice. He accused CM Revanth Reddy—whom he termed a “wicked individual”—of manipulating census figures and, even before the BJP could act, implementing SC categorization in Telangana in a manner that caused severe injustice to the 26 castes listed under Group 3 regarding roster points.
He stated that the Mala community public representatives, who fail to advocate for the rights of the Mala community, have no moral right to seek their votes in the upcoming elections. The event was attended by the organisation’s Hyderabad President L. Girija Shankar, Vice President A.N. Vinay Kumar, Cantonment President Suresh Kumar, M.G. Vinay Kumar, Secunderabad Parliamentary President Sanki Prasad, Social Media Representative Arun Kumar, Monda Market President Ram Mohan, Bansilalpet General Secretary Sekhar, Indira Park leaders Sampath and Krishna among others.
