LONDON(RAHNUMA): Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah in Doha on Monday to discuss efforts to deescalate hostilities and restore stability in the Middle East.
The meeting focused on regional developments and the need to intensify Arab efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire through dialogue and diplomacy, according to the Petra news agency.
Both Qatar and Jordan were affected by the US and Israel’s military campaign against Iran since the end of February. In response to the attack, Tehran launched hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles, some hitting Doha and Amman.
The crown prince emphasized Jordan’s solidarity with Qatar and other Gulf states, highlighting that their security remains key to regional stability, the report added.
