
Hyderabad, June 10 (RAHNUMA): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will review the Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) of the 217th Course at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal, on June 13, marking the successful completion of pre-commissioning training for Flight Cadets of the Indian Air Force.
The Defence Minister who will be the Reviewing Officer (RO) for the parade, will confer the “President’s Commission” and present “Wings” and “Brevets” to graduating cadets of the IAF, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and trainees from Vietnam. The event will also mark the commissioning of the first batch of women cadets from the National Defence Academy to complete branch-specific training at the academy. He will present the ‘President’s Plaque’ to the Flight Cadets standing first in the overall order of merit in Flying, Navigation stream and Ground Duty branches.
A major highlight of the ceremony will be aerial displays by the Su-30MKI, Sarang Helicopter Display Team and Suryakiran Aerobatic Team, alongside fly-pasts featuring Pilatus PC-7 Mk II, Hawk, Kiran and Chetak aircraft. The parade will be streamed live on IAF social media platforms and DD National from 7 am onwards.
