Revanth launches ₹13k-crore road overhaul; 441 stretches to get HAM makeover

Hyderabad, June 28 (RAHNUMA): In a major push to state infrastructure, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday unveiled the foundation stone pylon for a massive road development initiative in Nalgonda district.

The project aims to expand and reinforce 441 critical roads, covering a total distance of 6,092.37 kilometers across the state.

Executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), the mega infrastructure project is estimated to cost ₹13,006.27 crore. The official ceremony took place on the Nalgonda-Devarakonda road, adjacent to the market yard in the Kanagal mandal headquarters of Nalgonda district.

Alongside the road network expansion, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for Phase-1 of a vital drinking water scheme for the Nalgonda Municipal Corporation. Budgeted at ₹83 crore, this municipal upgrade is designed to significantly improve clean water access and utility pipelines for the region’s growing urban population.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Adluri Laxman Kumar, MP Raghuveera Reddy; MLAs Jaiveer Reddy, Bathula Laxma Reddy, and Balu Naik; and MLC Nellikanti Satyam were also present.
