Hyderabad, May 30 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will soon lay the foundation stone for the first phase of the CURE initiative, which includes one lakh sanctioned houses. He emphasised that efforts would be made to complete their construction within a year.
The Minister assured that modern Indiramma houses will be built and provided to the urban poor in their current neighborhoods, so their livelihoods will not be disrupted.
On Saturday, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, along with fellow Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Mohammed Azharuddin, laid the foundation stone for an integrated sub-registrar office complex in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
During the event, he noted that, unlike the previous BRS government, which located housing projects 30 to 40 kilometers from where people lived, his administration aims to treat each constituency as a distinct area, constructing homes for local residents within their own constituencies.
He described this initiative as a gift to the impoverished from their “Big Brother,” Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Additionally, the Minister mentioned that as part of the state government’s reforms, 13 Sub-Registrar offices—covering three corporations—will be established in a corporate-style approach, comparable to the private sector.
To alleviate the financial burden on the government, he explained that the responsibility for construction is being assigned to reputable firms in the real estate and construction industries.
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy also indicated that the Phoenix Group is expected to complete and deliver the 30,000 square feet building within a few months. The integrated complex in Banjara Hills will include Sub-Registrar offices for S.R. Nagar, Banjara Hills, and Golconda, along with the DIG office and the Registrar of Chits office (Golconda). He added that this project will create improved employment and business opportunities for local residents.
Furthermore, the Minister announced that officials have been instructed to hold prayer services twice annually for the Muslim community members who have been praying in this area for generations.
Local MLA Danam Nagender presided over the event, while MP Anil Kumar Yadav, MLC Addanki Dayakar, MLA Naveen Yadav, Special Secretary for Stamps and Registration Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, and others participated.
